Screenshot_2016-01-28-21-31-55-1Hello good people! I have decided to share with you all something amazing that I have been going through. My very own healthy hair journey. Let me start by saying I have had a relaxer in my hair since the age of about 6, up until 3 years ago. Going natural has been one of the best decisions of my life! Not only am I here to tell you about my journey but encourage and inform all of my relaxed and chemical dependent people that there is another way!

Can we say started from the bottom, now we here!!! I seriously look like a chicken head in the top left pic..dont laugh. I have come a long way guys and it was definitlely worth it. I started this journey after watching probably over one million youtube videos. I studied it like I was gonna be quizzed by God himself. This process is surely trial and error. I bought hundreds of products that I seen waist length girls using thinking that if I used the same things I would get the same results..and quick! “HA! girl please!” is what I eventually said to myself… I am down to about 4 staple products

This is the shampoo and conditioner I use. They’re about $3 per bottle. I will be 100% honest with you and tell you that I only wash my hair about once a month. Yeah sounds disgusting right?…I bet it does. If this makes anyone feel better I co-wash my hair every 2-3 days (wash it with just conditioner).

This conditioner makes my hair so soft. This bottle is about $3 as well. As I said, I wash with this 2-3 times a week. It keeps my hair moisturized and smells so good! Now for my daily routine:

Keeping your hair moisturized is key! I moisturize with Organic Roots Stimulator just about every day and seal in the moisturizer with coconut oil, the most amazing stuff in the world. Simple enough routine right?

There are a few other things to note:

  1. I only put heat (blow dryers and flat irons) about once every two months. Heat is hella damaging. I mainly wear protective styles, styles that can be worn for a few days with minimal manipulation. My go to styles are braids and twists1454023572592
  2. I only use wide tooth combs and paddle brushes

    3. I spray water on my hair everyday for moisture

    4. PATIENCE IS KEY!!! I have wanted to give up on this journey multiple times but with patience and determination, I am seeing results that I did not think were possible. Thick, full, healthy hair!

Not so bad right? I hope this encourages someone. You will not regret it!

Hello all! So last night I was sitting in my room and thought to myself, damn I’m like never on my blog anymore. I recently started school full-time, I work full-time, and I care for my 5 month and 6 year old nieces part-time. So yeah, I have a lot going on! The cure for a super busy life is definitely a glass of moscato and a good book before bed (currently reading: Things Remembered by L.D. Davis) Well my cure anyway… Any who, my purpose for my blog was to promote fashion trends for less, like way less, like thrift store get an entire outfit for a good $20 bucks less. I think I’d like to take a shift in my focus. I think I would like to become a lifestyle blogger so I won’t have to limit my post. I love blogging so hopefully this will inspire me how I was inspired when I first began my blog…so stay tuned with me as I get this right and ride the waves with me yall.

GAP Oversized Turtleneck Sweater : Thrift store  ($4.99)

(Random black skinny jeans out of my closet)

Purple pointed-toe pumps: Thrift store ($3.99)

Colorful Sequence Hadbag: Thrift store ($ 2.99)

A great winter outfit which can be worn for many casual occasions and less than $20…I’m gonna let you guys keep sleeping on this thrift wave though. It doesn’t always take money and labels to aquire trendy looks. You’ll learn soon enough my friends.

For the record, hosting a successful event feels amazing the next morning. So one day I randomly came up with the idea of hosting a dinner with a few of my close friends. The catch 22 was that I would personally style each girl, all of the outfits would be Sex in the City inspired, and each outfit must be bought from the thrift store. Neat idea right? Everyone looked sensational

I chose a upscale restaurant suitable for the theme. The food and atmosphere were quintessential!

The event was a success and so much fun. I can’t wait until the next one. IMG_2498

Hello everyone! Welcome to 2016…seven days in. Well I just had to share these beauties with you all that I purchased today. Inspired by one of my all time favorite fashionistas, Karrueche Tran, is this neon pink wedged heel. First, let me share why she has become a favorite. This girl has the absolute most simple style of all time but is forever popping! A loose white t shirt, distressed jeans, and a stylish heel and she looks phenomenal! I live for simplicity so she definitely has won me over in the fashion world. Okay now back to these babies…

Karrueche is wearing Balenciaga Wedge Mules priced at $497. As cute as these wedges are, not in my wildest dream would I be able to afford those and still have the funds to pay my rent, car note, or any other bills for that matter, like seriously. So, as my first frugal find of 2016, I purchased these very similar heels from GoJane for TWENTY-SIX AMERICAN DOLLARS $26!!! Cant beat that right!? All of the shoes on this site are up to 60% off and I am not sure how long that is going to last. If I were you, I would follow that discount wave ASAP. You’re welcome. Have a blessed day!
