C360_2015-10-28-21-23-41-716Another day, another dollar. I work in an office setting where we don’t have to physically “see” any of our clients [hits the quan] and are allowed to pretty much wear what we want. My look is usually  based on my mood. Sometimes I’m in jeans and a tshirt other times I like to spark it up a bit. This look didn’t take much effort at all. I’m casual: jeans, tank, and tennis shoes. With the help of this blazer I lucked up on at the thrift store and this floppy hat I got during the final Christmas sales years ago, it made the look a bit more business setting appropriate. Nothing to it. I live for simplicity!!!

vegan   I have actually taken up a challenge I heard about which consists of me not buying material, unnecessary things for a total of 60 days. The money that I save from this very tough to get through challenge will be contributed to a trip I plan to take next year. I fell in love with the concept of giving up something not needed for something that could possibly be life changing. Hopefully I can adhere to the challenge longer than the 60 days, but I shall make no such promise.

Any way back to this jacket. In the challenge you are granted one cheat item for the people like myself who sometimes just cannot resist. As it has begun to rain here in the south, I searched and found this Vegan Leather biker jacket from Abercrombie&Fitch which was originally $98 but was on sale for $68. I then went to my ol’ faithful site retailmenot.com and found a coupon for an extra 30% off!! I got this fine leather piece for $48. The bargain wave was in full effect honey!

Screenshot_2015-10-25-12-36-43-1October 25th. I turned 28 years old today. As I look back I’m like “where the heck did my life go?” I am so blessed to be where I am. I’ve grown in so many ways, continuing to form into the woman I desire to be. This birthday just really made me realize that time waits for no one. I am more determined than ever to accomplish my life goals. I can only go up from here. I am forever grateful for my blessings year after year. Shout out to God tho!!

It was great to see my family, which is a rare thing being that I currently live down south. I enjoyed everything about my trip. I did so much and seen so much in just three days. getting away from the norm of life felt somewhat spontaneous. We all need to get out of our norm from time to time. I believe it to be kind of healthy for the mind and soul. I have my heart set on moving there soon. It’s a beautiful place with so much to experience. I was fortunate to literally ride the so cal waves this weekend.

d317f12ee48146f03e4d5f8edd19e125I started not to make this post because I thought it was kind of a ramble, but then i said what the hey! Its my blog, I post what I want. My life has changed drastically over the past few months. I have many things going on which are preventing me, or slowing me down from accomplishing the things I desire. I once had the ability to just get up and go, but for a good cause, I put my freedom on hold. I awoke this morning with my mind on a million trying to cope and find solutions to the many unanswered questions roaming through my brain. I had been praying and meditating for answers and solutions until my mind just stopped. I took one single deep breath and felt an instant sense of release. I realized in that moment, I will never have all of the answers to my questions. I must sit back, stay focused and let life’s journey take its course. Everything is happening for a reason. My time is coming… Moral of the story, when in doubt, have some uncertainty, need clarity…JUST BREATHE! Reset your mind and just ride out the waves of your journey. (I hope someone who needs this sees this)
